I did a line drawing of a figure, then overlapped multiple images to which I added various colors, creating an interesting design image. The second image is a negative version.
Doing studies like these are relatively simple to create on the computer, much easier than using traditional painting methods.
The basic image was created on the computer by scanning in four ink line drawing of figures. The color variations were then worked out creating these five images. It's an interesting way to experiment on the computer and creating negative versions can be surprisingly interesting as in image 2.
I like this version very much.
More color and design studies done on the computer. It's great fun to do experiments like this and a wonderful learning experience. Experimenting like this is a great way to challenge yourself and grow and develop your potential as an artist.
I came up with some new color variations on existing art and one new image. It amazes me as to what can be accomplished on the computer. Try doing some color variations on some of your own images using Photoshop.
Here are a few more promotion brochure cover ideas. Three are based on photo montages that I created on the computer, the other one is an abstract composition.
I did a couple more brochure cover designs this morning using Photoshop Elements 3. I'm pleased with the way they turned out. I will be doing some interior pages soon.
